BIOGRAPHY
| 1992 | Formed by Marcus E. Norman in Umeå, Sweden under the name 'Ancient'. The demotape In the Eye of the Serpent is recorded. |
| 1993 | After the release of In
the Eye of the Serpent the band changes name into Ancient Wisdom and
in December, the second demotape Through Rivers
of the Eternal Blackness is recorded. Signs a record deal with the Italian label Avantgarde Music. |
| 1994 | In December, the debut album For Snow Covered the Northland is recorded. Due to some technical errors this album is not released until 1996, and during this time Marcus E. Norman decides to continue Ancient Wisdom on his own. |
| 1996 | For Snow Covered the Northland is released. |
| 1997 | The release of The Calling. |
| 1998 | First meant to be a mini-cd, the first part of And the Physical Shape of Light Bled is recorded. |
| 1999 | The decision is made to release a full length album instead. More material is composed and recorded at the end of November. |
| 2000 | And the Physical Shape of Light Bled is released. |
| 2003 | The fourth fullenght album, Cometh Doom, Cometh Death is recorded. |
| 2004 | The release of Cometh Doom, Cometh Death. |
